David McKenna grabbed a hat-trick as Brechin boosted their chances of a play-off spot in Division Two by demolishing Dumbarton 6-0.
McKenna opened his account for the day by smashing home from six yards in the seventh minute before setting up James Redman who doubled the lead just after half-time from the edge of the box.
Rory McAllister made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute with a smart finish from 12 yards and he then teed up McKenna, who grabbed his second of the game and eighth of the season in the 79th minute with a close-range effort.
Mitchel Megginson made it 5-0 in the 82nd minute from similar range and two minutes later McKenna completed his hat-trick by poking the ball home to complete the rout.
