Dumbarton break their duck
Dumbarton secured their first league victory of the season with a 1-0 win away at Cowdenbeath.
Mark Gilhaney's goal just before the half-hour mark consigned the home side to a seventh league game without a victory.
Steven McDougall's cross from the left went across the face of the goal and Gilhaney arrived late at the back post to hit a low effort across the goalkeeper and into the bottom left-hand corner.
The visitors had the chance to double their lead in the 66th minute after Joseph Mbu fouled Nicholas Devlin in the area, but Bryan Prunty's low penalty was saved down to his left by Thomas Flynn.
With 20 minutes left, James Stevenson's 35-yard free-kick forced a good save from Jamie Ewings in the Dumbarton goal.
John Armstrong and Lewis Coult both headed over from close range as Cowdenbeath pushed for a late equaliser.
