Lift-off for Cowdenbeath
Cowdenbeath romped to their first win of the season, a 3-0 victory away at Dumbarton.
Three points lifted them off the bottom of the table after last weekend's 4-0 defeat at the hands of Dunfermline.
Lewis Coult gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute, confidently firing past Stephen Grindlay from 12 yards after being found in the area by Greg Stewart.
Eight minutes later Cowdenbeath doubled their lead. Stewart let fly from 20 yards and his curling effort found its way into the bottom left corner of the Dumbarton goal.
The win was sealed with eight minutes remaining through Marc McKenzie's penalty. McKenzie was brought down by Ross Forsyth in the area and picked himself up to slot his spot-kick past Grindlay.
