Dumbarton 0 Raith Rovers 1
A goal from man-of-the-match Paul McManus was enough to separate the sides in a match so mind-numbingly bad it defied belief.
The first 45 minutes, especially, were as gloomy as the weather with neither team able to conjure up anything like a clear opportunity. However, no doubt assisted by a few choice half-time words from boss Gordon Dalziel, Rovers re-started in positive fashion and it immediately paid off.
Chris Gentile was caught in possession by Iain Davidson, and with the Sons' defence exposed he sent Neil Jablonski clear and his low cross was first-timed into the net by McManus from six yards.
Thereafter Dumbarton dominated as Rovers were content to soak up the pressure and hit on the break.
Indeed, it was the visitors who created the only other worthwhile opportunity of the afternoon when last-minute substitute Scott Crabbe found himself clean through on goal, but his low shot was pushed away one-handed by Stephen Grindlay.
Not a game for the scrap-book.
