Successful Sons secure three points
Dumbarton claimed their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Morton which saw the hosts leapfrog their opponents in the Scottish Championship table.
The Sons took an early lead inside 20 minutes through Mitchel Megginson who tapped the ball home after his initial header came back off the bar.
That lead was short-lived, though, when the visitors were awarded a penalty moments later. Dougie Imrie beat Jamie Ewings from the spot to level the score after Scott Smith was fouled.
However, Dumbarton's lead was restored just before the break as Colin Nish leapt on a poor backpass and slotted beyond Derek Gaston.
And the hosts made sure of the points late on when substitute Steven McDougall's glancing header from Smith's cross finished up in the bottom corner to the delight of the home fans.
